Dr Enrique Childress

Enrique is a mum of two energetic and bubbly young girls. She is a warm and enthusiastic practitioner who applies psychology in a holistic and child-centred way. With over 10 years of experience working with children and within schools across the globe, Enrique has experience in mental health, education and organisational psychology spanning Europe, the US, Australia and Asia.

Enrique trained as an Educational and Child Psychologist at University College London. Her doctoral thesis focused on the impact of non-punitive proactive behaviour interventions in schools for students experiencing behaviour difficulties, focusing specifically on the joint-problem solving approach, Collaborative and Proactive Solutions. During her doctorate, Enrique trained within an inner London Educational Psychology Service and at The Children’s Trust, gaining specialist ​experience in neurorehabilitation for children with acquired brain injuries.

Enrique obtained her first-class undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Malta, and later a Masters in Occupational Psychology from The University of Sheffield.

Outside her private work, Enrique currently undertakes Educational Psychology work for a Local Authority, engaging in both statutory Education, Health and Care Plan assessments and preventative work with schools and families, such as delivering training, providing consultations and problem-solving sessions to school staff. Enrique is also experienced in delivering therapeutic interventions, having receiving training in counselling and play therapy from the University of Wyoming.
